We are a paddling community in Wilmette, IL.

This group formed in 2010, in order to facilitate communication among paddlers who keep their boats at the Wilmette Sailing Beach.

It is always more safe (and more fun) to paddle with other kayakers.

Summer of 2013 we started regular outings.  We got out for Tuesday sunrise paddles and Saturday paddles.

We planned skills sessions, focusing on wet exits, T-rescues, self-rescues, strokes, braces, and launching/landing in varying conditions.

The emphasis is always to paddle in safe conditions.
